wordofthemonth

The word of the month at FES for March is COURAGE.

Students are learning that courage means: Saying "No" to something you know is wrong. Not giving up when something is very hard to to do. Helping someone who is in trouble or going to get someone who can help. Being Brave.

Some examples of courage are:

  • Learning to ride a bike without training wheels.

  • Reading in front of the whole class.

  • Saying "I'm sorry" when you and a friend have an argument.

  • Learning to swim

  • Trying a vegetable you have never tasted before.

  • Being kind to those that are unkind to you.

  • Smiling when you don't feel like it.

  • Admitting when you are wrong.

Most importantly remember to go to an adult you can trust (parent, teacher, school counselor, principal, etc.) if you have any fears.

Be Brave Bearcats! But most importantly... BE KIND!
