This week October 23-24, 2023, FHS Beta Club attended the annual leadership summit at the University of Southern MS in Hattiesburg, MS. During the summit, challenge competitions pushed our students to think outside the box and rise above adversity. Along with the challenges, our club had the opportunity to nominate one member to represent Forest High School for the chance to become one of our state leadership representatives. Jayden Cox, 11th grader, was elected to interview for the State Leadership Representative by his Beta peers. We are pleased to announce and congratulate Jayden Cox on being selected as one of the three representatives for the state of MS, who qualifies to run for National Ambassador this summer.
We are elated for our BETA CLUB who not only accepted the challenge but completed the challenges. The following members: Kimberly Bello Ramirez, Ahayliah Rudolph, Giselle Vallejo, Rori Heard, Katelyn Phillips, Trintee Lofton, Ethan Hunt, and Jayden Cox received awards for
Collaboration Connection National Qualifier, Lead Outside the Box National Qualifier, and Outstanding Leadership School.
Collaboration Connection and Lead Outside the Box qualifies them to automatically compete at Nationals this summer. Congratulations to this awesome group of students we are become excited for them and thank them for being willing to answer the Bearcat Pride leadership call.
