The Pride of Forest Band participated in the MHSAA State Marching Evaluation hosted at Neshoba Central High School. The Band received All Superior ratings from a panel of 3 band judges. Also, receiving Superior ratings were Drum Majors Keily Marroquin & Gena Garcia, the Color Guard (Captain Reagan Lowe), and Percussion (Pit Percussion Captain Jayden Cox, Battery Percussion Captains John Simon & Carlos Garcia). By earning Superior ratings, the Pride of Forest Band qualified for the Miss Class 4A State Championship which will be Saturday, October 28 at Pearl HS. The Pride of Forest Will perform at 2:00 p.m.
This culminates three weeks of competitions in which the Pride of Forest earned Superior ratings at the Excalibur Marching Festival at West Lauderdale High School. The band was awarded the Grand Champion trophy at the Excalibur Festival. The band also earned Superior ratings at the Titan Invitational hosted at Ridgeland High School.
