Due to storm damage in our schools and along transportation routes, students will not report to school on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Further information as to when classes will resume will go out tomorrow. Stay safe Bearcats!

After monitoring the National Weather Service and speaking with local Emergency Management officials, it is forecasted for our area to be in a level 4 (moderate risk to severe weather) category.  The Forest Municipal School District (FMSD) will be closed Wednesday, April 10, 2024.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.   Stay dry and be safe, Bearcats

Congratulations to the tennis team they finished second in the district and have advanced to the first round of playoffs. They will host the first round against Purvis on Tuesday at 4. Also, congratulations to the individual players on yesterday, mixed doubles Bryan Roldan and Indira Vasquez were district runner ups. Girls singles Reagan Lowe is the district winner, girls doubles Suky Montoya and Nataly Montoya are district winners.

Join the Forest High School Color Guard. Forms and money due the first day of clinics! Bring water, athletic clothing, and you hard working energy. Sign up forms are in the office. Clinics: April 2-4, 3:30-5:00 Tryouts: April 9, 4:00 - until Tryout fee $10

Congratulations to Gena Garcia Salvador who placed 3rd in Promotional Design at the TSA District conference on January 30, 2024. She advances to state in March.

Congratulations, Mrs. Dana Troth, for being selected as the 2023-2024 FMSD Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Troth is a veteran teacher with 22.5 years of educational experience, all of which have been served at Forest Elementary School. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University. She is married to Bradley, and they are parents of Raymond, Sarah, and Abigail. When asked what she considers to be the best part of her job, she responds, "It's the 'aha' moments when a child's face lights up once they understand a difficult mathematical concept." Thank you, Mrs. Troth, for your dedication to providing a quality education for the students of FMSD!

HMS PBIS Fall-o-Ween Festival: It's Fall-o-Ween time!!! HMS will host a Fall-o-Ween Festival on Tuesday, October 31st to celebrate students who have exhibited PAWsitive behavior! Students must have 200 Bearcat (PBIS) Points to participate. all costumes must follow the handbook guidelines. Also, no knives, play guns, or other inappropriate objects.
