FHS State Testing Schedule
The FHS EL students had a special guest visit from Dr. Karina Zelaya, Assistant Professor in the Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at Mississippi State University. Dr. Zelaya is also Affiliated Faculty in the African American Studies Program. She came to speak to students about the obstacles she faced at the age of fourteen as an English-Language Learner when she came to the United States. She also shared with students how perseverance, hard work, and help from her community paved the way for her to go from reading and writing in English to earning her doctoral degree.
HMS State Testing Schedule: Please make sure students are present and on time for test dates. Also, it is important that students sleep well the night before the assessments.
